Cardiovascular Clinical Academic Group
The Cardiovascular CAG aims to develop a world-class academic/clinical research portfolio in the field of Cardiovascular Medicine through integration and collaboration of resources amongst the partner institutions.
In December 2014, Surrey Health Partners welcomed Professor Pankaj Sharma as Co-Chair and partnered with The Institute of Cardiovascular Research, based at Royal Holloway, University of London.
The aims of the Cardiovascular Institute support those of the Cardiovascular Clinical Academic Group – developing a world class clinical academic research portfolio through integration and collaboration. The Institute of Cardiovascular Research aims to become an international centre of excellence in the field of cardiovascular medicine. You can read more about the Institute here.
The CAG is committed to a programme of teaching, innovation and improvement in service delivery, supporting research across Surrey & Sussex and collaboration with other CAGs. The CAG supports the goal of developing RSCH and ASPH as sub speciality training centres within the Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery for percutaneous coronary intervention, intracoronary imaging, electrophysiology and cardiac imaging.
