Our Education & Training
- Our CAG launched on 13th November 2015 with a very well attended “Rapid Diagnostics in Healthcare” seminar which was held at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
- We held the 2015 ESTP/BSTP conference at Surrey, in the new School of Veterinary Medicine. Over 150 delegates from academia and industry attended the conference.
- We held a seminar on “The use of Digital Pathology in Healthcare and Education” on the 29th April 2016 with added tours of the new Veterinary Pathology Centre for interested attendees.
- Our next seminar is on the 24th November 2016, again at the School of Veterinary Medicine and will focus on “Infectious Diseases – emerging zoonoses”. Click here for the agenda.
We have also invited Professor John Cooper to lecture to the Vet school student pathology group on 30th November 2016. This lecture “Gorillas in the midst of war: studies on the pathology and health of one of our closest relatives” will also be open to our CAG members and Vet school staff.
The MSc in Comparative Pathology has been drafted, but is currently on standby – Watch this space for more information.
We have developed an FRCPath residency programme in Veterinary Microbiology which is currently awaiting approval from the Royal College of Pathologists.
