About the Diabetes CAG
The Diabetes CAG has members from University of Surrey, Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, East Surrey Hospital, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Holloway, University of London.
Research interests across the CAG are very diverse from mechanistic studies, which aim to understand diabetic abnormalities to translational research which has direct patient benefit.
Our original aim was to bring together health professionals and academics who have common interests to develop joint research proposals, alongside:
- Knowledge transfer
- Creation of research ideas that lead to collaborative grant proposals
- Development of ideas that will lead to collaborative teaching and training
These aims were developed in order for the Diabetes CAG to achieve it’s vision of developing joint research and teaching, to learn from the outcomes of the research and use this knowledge to improve patient care.
Our CAG members are diverse with a wide range of health professionals and academics from across the SHP partnership and beyond. Our CAG is driven by our CAG Co-Chairs, who are the first point of contact for any Diabetes CAG related queries.
